Riding the bus

I am a basket case, well at the very least a stressed out mess. I'm good with this fact most of the time, but because of it I must find ways not to stress myself anymore than usual. One way I've started doing that lately is by riding the bus to school. I travel 40 miles round-trip to my school three times a week. Last term this stressed me out because I was having a terrible time paying for the gas. I've found the bus has relieved my stress in more ways than just financially. I love the ride, it takes me 1 hour and 25 minutes to get to school and I have all this time to read and listen to my music. Its perfect for me because I never take enough time to just listen to music, too busy stressing myself out, and also because I am getting so much more reading done both for school and for pleasure. It's funny to me how I will only do the things that I enjoy when I am forced in to them, like during the long bus ride. Hmmmm, very interesting.

I am jealous of anyone who rides the bus or train. Sometimes I dream about a job where I can do this. I wonder what would happen if I laid tubes across the Dart rail?

Tubes across the Dart rail?? I'm pretty sure that could cause quite a problem.

And you don't have to find a place to park! That's one of my stress-causing things in life. I like this post. It makes me want to go for a walk in the rain. I love walking in the rain but I never do it on purpose. Only when I'm caught out in it by accident and forced into it.

Wow, almost an hour and a half to reflect, read, study, listen to your choice of music. What a blessing that must be! 3 times a week! WOW!

I see it coming.....my youngest will be in Kindergarten next year and I will have 5 mornings a week all to myself. But I will be sad not to have anymore little ones at my feet and in my way all day. And I'm sure I'll fill that time quickly with chores and things I need to do. I should vow here and now to reserve one of those mornings just for pleasure. Hmmm..I like that idea!

I agree Carrie...vow now and we'll hold you accountable :D

Just when I thought all hope was lost...Rocky came back to her blog and left a post. Yippeee :D I'm glad you are problem solving (yes I work too much) in finding ways to ease your stress and at the same time even enjoying yourself.

I can't believe that you have a new post and I didn't even see until today! I like riding the train too. Of course, here in England I can get just about everywhere on the train!

Leslie, you need to come here and try to find a parking spot just to stop at the convenience store or when you go out to dinner you have to find the nearest pay and display parking garage/lot. It is true, almost nothing is free. But, on the bright side, I get to walk in the rain at least twice a day-to and from school!
